To secure your place at UQ for Semester 1, 2025, you just need to: Select a UQ program as your first QTAC preference. Meet or exceed the guaranteed ATAR threshold for your chosen program.

We offer guaranteed entry to most undergraduate programs based on minimum ATAR thresholds, giving you certainty when applying to UQ so you can focus on planning for 2025 and beyond.

To commence study in semester 2 2025 - 5 May 2025 (with offer acceptance due 18 May 2025). To commence study in semester 1 - November 30 of the previous year. Visa processing times vary.

For Semester 2, 2025 we'll make offers between 24 April 2025 and 17 July 2025. You may not get an offer at the same time as people you know, but that doesn't necessarily mean you've missed out. Different universities may make offers on different dates, and not all programs are offered in the same offer round.

In Queensland, most Year 12 students hoping to commence university in Semester 1, 2025 will receive their university offer through QTAC in the main round – January 2025. However, some universities release offers before students receive their ATARs in December 2024, and sometimes even before they sit their external exams.

Starting 1 July 2025, eligible students can receive $331.65 per week during their placement. This amount is based on the single Austudy rate.
